Pricing questions people actually ask
What counts as a play?
One play is one viewer session on one video in which the viewer genuinely played it: pressed play, turned the sound on, resumed, continued, restarted, or the video started with sound on its own. However many of those happen in that session, it counts once. A session ends after 30 minutes without activity, so a viewer who comes back later is a new play, and two videos watched on one page are two plays. A muted autoplay nobody unmutes is not a play. Bots are not plays. Seeking and scrubbing do not count. Billing and every analytics surface report the same number. You can see your usage in real time in the dashboard.
What happens if I go over my plan's plays?
You decide. On a paid plan, turn on extra plays and your videos keep playing past the cap, billed at your tier rate: $0.02 on Basic, $0.01 on PRO and SCALE. Leave it off and you are never charged extra; playback pauses at the cap until your plays reset or you upgrade. The free plan has no overage, so it pauses at 3,000 plays. Usage is live in the dashboard.
Are features gated by plan?
No. Every plan, Free included, gets the full player and every conversion tool: split testing, pixels, postbacks, webhooks, sub-ID tracking, the API. Plans differ only on how many plays are included each month and what an extra play costs. The one exception today is AI Optimize: on the free plan it runs with your own OpenAI key.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades apply immediately. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
